How we make money
One way: you pay us. No ads, no affiliate offers, no data sales, no fees on your savings, no investors steering the product.
Free finance apps are not free. Mint ran on ads and credit-card offers, and when that stopped paying it was shut down. Credit Karma is a lead-generation funnel. Rocket Money keeps a cut of the bills it negotiates. Several apps sell aggregated transaction data. None of this is secret, but none of it is on the homepage either.
Vekfinance has exactly one revenue line, and we want it on a page you can link to.
The model
- A subscription: $10 a month or $99 a year, after a 30-day free trial. Everything is included; there is no premium tier.
- That is the whole list.
What we do not do
- No ads, no ad pixels, no cross-site trackers.
- No selling or sharing your data, aggregated or otherwise.
- No affiliate credit-card, loan or insurance offers in the product.
- No success fees, negotiation fees or percentages of your savings.
- No training AI models on your data.
- No outside investors. The company is self-funded, so the only people we answer to are subscribers.
Why it matters for the product
A business model is a set of incentives. When an app is paid by advertisers or lenders, the product drifts toward showing you offers. When an app takes a cut of savings, it optimizes for the savings it can bill, not the ones that help you most. When the only revenue is the subscription, the product has to be worth paying for every month, and the only way to keep your data is to keep it safe. That is the whole reason the AI coach never sees your raw transactions: we have nothing to gain from the data, so we built the app not to collect it.
What the subscription pays for
Bank connections cost real money per linked account every month, which is why there is no free tier. The rest goes to hosting, encryption, the AI model calls that power the coach, email, and building the product. Every feature on the roadmap is funded the same way.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a free tier?
No. There is a 30-day free trial of the full product (card required), then $10 a month or $99 a year.
Do you share my data with anyone?
Only the services needed to run the product: Plaid for bank connections, Anthropic for the AI coach (de-identified data only), Stripe for billing, Resend for email. Never advertisers, data brokers or lenders.
Will you add ads or offers later?
No. The subscription model is the point of the company, and the architecture is built around not collecting the data an ad model would need.
Who funds Vekfinance?
Subscribers. The company is self-funded with no outside investors.
